SUMMARY:Endorsed Course: Mastering Vascular Ultrasound – Ultrasound in Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) and Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA)
DESCRIPTION:Mastering Vascular Ultrasound – Ultrasound in Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) and Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA)\nDate: Saturday, 20.02.27\nVenue:\nPanorama Hotel\nAnalipseos 26 Panorama,\nThessaloniki, PC 55236, Greece\nParticipation fee: €500\nMaximum number of participants: 10\nFaculty:\nDr Panagiotis Ermeidis, Rheumatologist\nDepartment at the Rheumazentrum Ruhrgebiet, Herne, Germany\nEULAR MSUS Competency Level 2 certification\nDEGUM Level II tutor\nTarget level of education: Advanced\nOverview of the course\nUltrasound has evolved into an important tool for the early diagnosis and diagnostic assessment of Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA). Ultrasound examination of the temporal and axillary arteries is recommended by the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) as the first-line imaging modality in patients with suspected GCA, particularly in those presenting with cranial symptoms. Moreover, ultrasound findings are now incorporated into the classification criteria for the disease.\nThis one day seminar combines focused theoretical presentations with extensive handson sessions, allowing each participant to enhance their knowledge of ultrasound examination techniques, discuss clinical cases, and gain greater confidence in recognizing and interpreting ultrasonographic findings.\nLearning objectives\n\nUltrasound physics, image optimisation, and vascular axillary and extracranial sonoanatomy\nIdentification of the key ultrasonographic findings of GCA\nUltrasound assessment of the temporal and axillary arteries\nIntroduction to internationally established ultrasound examination protocols\nCorrelation of ultrasound findings with the clinical-rheumatological presentation\nUnderstanding of the role of musculoskeletal ultrasound in Polymyalgia Rheumatica\n\nBOOK HERE > https://scientiaedu.gr/en/shop/teachers/panagiotis-ermeidis/abdominal-renal-and-bowel-ultrasound-in-children-%ce%b1%ce%bd%cf%84%ce%b9%ce%b3%cf%81%ce%b1%cf%86%ce%ae/  ( https://scientiaedu.gr/en/shop/teachers/panagiotis-ermeidis/abdominal-renal-and-bowel-ultrasound-in-children-%ce%b1%ce%bd%cf%84%ce%b9%ce%b3%cf%81%ce%b1%cf%86%ce%ae/ )\nPrevious Course Reviews >\n \n
