Professional Officer for the British Medical Ultrasound Society
Hazel qualified as a radiographer in 1988 and specialised in ultrasound in 1997. Currently, she works for BMUS as their Professional Officer. She has been a senior lecturer/researcher at the University of Hertfordshire and a consultant sonographer at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is now a visiting lecturer for King’s College, London and the East of England Imaging Academy.
Hazel previously has been Editor-in-Chief of Ultrasound, the Journal of the British Medical Ultrasound Society, and also edited the UK eLearning for Healthcare non-obstetric ultrasound teaching sessions, which was a joint collaboration between the College of Radiographers and Health Education England. Her long history in editing also includes the College of Radiographers’ annual publication Imaging & Oncology, which she managed for eight years.
Hazel’s focus is governance and education for ultrasound practitioners.
