Overview of the course:
Two-dimensional ultrasound is the eye of the modern cardiologist when faced with the entire spectrum of cardiac diseases. This informational seminar is the first of two modules on transthoracic ultrasound and covers the most common and important heart diseases through cardiac ultrasound, while aiming to shed light on difficult ultrasound and cardiological issues.
It is based on only the necessary theoretical issues and mainly on real incidents, how-tos, practical advice and tips and tricks.
Learning Objectives:
– Understanding of the fundamental physics of ultrasonography
– Image optimization and operation, adjustment of ultrasound equipment
– Understanding of advanced cross sectional area ultrasound anatomy of the heart
– Identification of pathological findings in the most common and important heart diseases, enhancing clinical assessment and diagnostic accuracy.
– Interpretation of normal/pathological findings in everyday clinical scenarios.
