Overview of the course:
Ultrasound in Gynecology has emerged as an invaluable tool in modern clinical practice, essentially complemanting the clinical examination in the investigation of gynecological diseases. This readily available, non-invasive and radiation-free imaging method, provides reliable diagnostic data, which contribute decisively to making timely and evidence-based therapeutic decisions.
This informational seminar is designed not only to highlight the basic principles of the gynecological ultrasound, but also to understand the normal ultrasound anatomy of the internal genital organs (uterus, endometrium, ovaries). At the same time, emphasis is placed on the pathological findings, enhancing clinical assessment and diagnostic accuracy.
Learning Objectives:
– Understanding of the fundamental physics of ultrasonography
– Image optimization and operation, adjustment of ultrasound equipment
– Understanding of advanced cross sectional area ultrasound of the internal genital organs (uterus, endometrium, ovaries)
– Identification of pathological findings in acute and chronic gynecological disease, enhancing clinical assessment and diagnostic accuracy.
– Interpretation of normal/pathological findings in everyday clinical scenarios.
