Review of CEUS for interventional procedures in abdominal sonography. Valuable are e.g. tricks how to enhance needle visualisation in low mechanical index images or how to prolongate the presence of contrast agent in circulation in mechanically ventilated patients. There are further discussed concrete interventions in abdominal area – liver biopsy, portal thrombus biopsy, CEUS cholangiography, intracavitary application to confirm the drain position and access communication of multiple cavities, liver ablation, renal biopsy and ablation, prostate biopsy, nephrostomy and splenic interventions. |
