Jose Fernando Jiménez Díaz (Toledo) Medical Specialist Sport and Physical Education and earned his doctorate at the University of Cordoba with a paper on the assessment of the physiological response in simulated combat military activities.
For 27 years, he has worked as a consultant physician in several groups and sports teams in both football as in professional cycling and for the past ten seasons in the Professional Basketball League (ACB), as Chief Medical Officer Basketball team Fuenlabrada. Author of over 100 publications and articles in journals of scientific interest, currently serves as a professor at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, University of Castilla la Mancha and heads the research group "Deporsalud" oriented to the study of "Sports Performance and Injury Rehabilitation. also works as Professor in the University of Murcia San Antonio, University Pablo Olavide of Seville, or National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico.
Expert in the sonographic diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries, has published several books on clinical and ultrasonographic study of sports injuries, the last of them with the name Advanced Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (Marban 2017). He has been Secretary General of the Spanish Society of Sports Traumatology and currently serves on the Board of the Spanish Federation of Sports Medicine and director of its School of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. Actually, is President of the Spanish Society of Ultrasound (SEECO) and Vice-President in FESUMB (Spanish Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology). Founder and director of the Sports Medicine Course held in Toledo since its first edition in 2000. He currently heads the International Chair musculoskeletal ultrasound has recently created the Catholic University of Murcia, teaching courses in different countries in America and Asia.
