TITLE: Ulcerative colitis

DESCRIPTION:

Longitudinal view of the sigmoid shows bowel wall thickness, about 3.7 mm,  the most characteristic feature of inflammation; the bowel wall has the echo-stratification preserved. In addition, there is increased Doppler signal in the thickened bowel wall that can be also interpreted as a sign of active inflammation.
